It is always a good practice to reset TP-LINK router password the first time you use it or when you want to make sure you can only access it.

Resetting your TP-Link router can be a useful troubleshooting step. You may have discovered unfamiliarity in your network or just need to start afresh — however, relocation is a good place to start.

To reset TP-LINK router admin password

• Open the web browser and type the wireless router IP address in the address bar, and click. The original IP address of the TP-Link router is 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
• Type the username and password in the login page. The default username and password are both admin in the lower case.
• Click on Manage-> Access Control-> Password on the left-hand page, and type old password and new password.
• Click Save / Apply to save the settings.

To ChangeTP-LINK router Wi-Fi Password

• Open the web browser and enter the IP address of the wireless router in the address bar, and then click. The original IP address of the TP-Link router is 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 .
• Enter the username and password on the login page. The default username and password are both lowercase " admin "
• Click Wireless on the side of the page
• Click on Wireless Security. This option is below the seamless menu on the side of the page.
• See the WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK box below and below. It’s near the bottom of the loop.
• Type in a new password. Go to the “password” field, although the password field may say “PSK password”.
• Click Hi. This button is at the bottom of the page.

• Click Reboot. then yes when asked.

The factory reset clears all custom settings on your router, even your Wi-Fi name and password will disappear. Make sure you are ready to proceed.
